My name is Kay Zhou
Kay Zhou is a writer/director who writes tragedies that reflect social phenomena. He has directed 10 short films to date, his short drama Angel (15 mins) won the award for Best Director at the Shanghai Film Marathon in 2021. He is currently in pre-production of Red Door (10 mins), a short about a Chinese teenager who is stuck in America because of his family’s political issues. Previously he wrote and directed Trial (10 mins), a short drama. His short Zebra (10 mins) is a story about Mental embodiment of patients with depression. Kay has also notably worked previously as an actor on numerous commercials and educational films. Recently, Kay created and wrote a branded animation series (48 x 5 mins) for Fun Age Entertainment in Shanghai. B.F.A. Film Major Directing. School of Visual Arts 2024
